Macdonald Legacy Society
Sir William would be proud
Launched in April 2009, the Macdonald Legacy Society was created to honour those who have remembered McGill’s Macdonald Campus in their estate plans or through another form of planned gift.
We take great care and pride in acknowledging and recognizing our donors. However, bequests and other planned gifts may go unrecognized while the donor is alive, because the University has not been made aware of the donor’s plans.
When you inform us of your intentions, you will receive a personal certificate of membership signed by McGill’s Principal and the Dean of the Faculty of Environmental and Agricultural Sciences, along with a commemorative pin. You will also receive invitations to recognition events, where donors can mingle with each other and meet the Principal and other University dignitaries.
We respect your privacy
Although membership in the McGill 1821 Society and the Macdonald Legacy Society is a matter of record, any other information regarding our members and their bequests or other planned gifts is kept strictly confidential. McGill University will not release or disseminate this information in any manner whatsoever, without the express written consent of the member.
Information on this site is of a general nature and not intended to constitute financial or legal advice. Please consult your income tax, financial and/or legal advisors before arranging a planned gift. All requests for information are confidential.
