Biography: 

Dr. Cohen joined the Division of Gastroenterology at the Jewish General Hospital in 1992.

He has occupied the position of Director of the Division since the year 2000.

Dr. Cohen graduated from the Université de Montréal in 1985 and completed his specialty training in 1990. He is an associate professor at McGill University and is involved in teaching of students, residents and fellows in Gastroenterology, inflammatory bowel diseases and therapeutic endoscopy.

His primary interests are exploring novel therapies for inflammatory bowel diseases.

His research activities focus on the evaluation on new treatment options in inflammatory bowel diseases as well as studying the impact of these therapies on patient well-being.

His other interests have focused on interventional endoscopy.
