McGill Feeding McGill

Since 2010, the horticultural research station on the Macdonald campus, about 30 minutes from downtown, has been supplying produce, eggs, and ground beef to all five residential dining halls.

Mac Farm is the largest supplier of local fresh in-season produce.

Mac Farm grows around 20 different varieties of fruit and vegetables, including:

  • apples
  • asian pears
  • plums
  • melons
  • kale
  • garlic
  • onions
  • cucumbers
  • tomatoes
  • bell peppers
