Mandatory Meal Plan-Campus1

The Campus1 Mandatory Meal Plan applies to McGill residence students living in Campus 1 MTL for the academic year 2021-2022.

What you need to know

The Campus1 Mandatory Meal Plan is a declining balance plan linked to your McGill ID card. Funds are deducted from your meal plan each time you purchase food on campus.

  • The meal plan is comprised of three accounts; the Home Base account, the Flex account and the oneCard account.
  • Check out the table below to learn the difference between your three accounts.

These funds can be used in any of the five McGill residential dining halls. This account is tax-exempt. This account will allow you to purchase food in a  number of on-campus food locations, such as Starbucks, Vihn's and more. This account is tax-exempt. The oneCard account can be used in our off-campus food locations including the Campus1 dining hall and on campus vending machines. This is a taxable account.
Your home base account is pre-loaded on your McGill ID card at the beginning of the fall and winter term with $787.50 . At the end of the fall semester, your home base account balance will automatically be rolled over to the winter term.
