Biography: 

Dolly Abi Mansour is a Faculty Lecturer at the French Language Centre at McGill University. She teaches French as a second language (FSL) and French for specific purposes (FSP), using an active teaching approach that combines linguistic mediation and technology to support dynamic, contextualized learning tailored to academic and professional settings. She has contributed to initiatives such as French at Work Neuro and French at Work, which have helped numerous staff members strengthen their professional communication skills in French within specialized and multilingual environments. 

 

Areas of interest: 
  • The integration of artificial intelligence and the protection of academic integrity in language teaching and learning. 
  • Enhancing the learning experience through the use of interactive technological tools that promote active learning and classroom engagement. 
  • The role of grammatical analysis in teaching French as a second language (FSL), based on a renewed approach that emphasizes metalinguistic reflection. 
  • The connection between French language proficiency and the quality of caregiver–patient interaction, particularly in managing stress and anxiety in medical settings.
