Employment opportunities on campus pop up both during the academic year and during the summer. There’s no central McGill employment centre, so to maximize your chances of landing a job, you may need to contact specific offices.

Career Planning Service (CaPS)

Be sure to visit CaPS for help finding jobs both on and off campus. They can help you craft your CV and cover letter, and also offer workshops on job-hunting, interview techniques and much more.

Work Study Program

The Scholarships and Student Aid Office runs a work study program that creates part-time on-campus jobs for students. Applicants are evaluated primarily according to their financial need. You can apply if you are registered full time in a degree program, are in satisfactory academic standing and demonstrate financial need.

Work for Campus Life & Engagement!

Hey, there's no shame in plugging our office on our own site! Campus Life & Engagement hires a LARGE number of student staff throughout the year to work in various roles and on diverse projects related to orientation, campus involvement, student life, communications, peer support, and much more! We are always especially interested in hiring first-year students. Visit the CL&E website's Jobs page for more info.
