Café CL&E: Grads Edition

Description: Have a question that needs answering? Need graduate-level support? Want to socialize over a cup of coffee or tea? Drop-in to Cafe CL&E on Zoom. A member of our team will be here every other week to lend an ear and share a warm beverage. RSVP not required!

Café CL&E: First-Generation Students Edition

Description: Join Sarah - student and president of McGill’s First-Gen Peer Support group - for a special session of Cafe CL&E! This edition is geared towards McGill students who self-identify as First Generation. Attendees are encouraged to pre-listen to an episode of the podcast EdSurge (found here), featuring First-Gen student Zipporah Osei and her journey through university during the COVID-19 pandemic. We’ll discuss what it means to be First Gen during the remote semester. RSVP not required!

Talking to New People: Speed Friending for First-Year Students Edition

Description: COVID-19 has made making friends harder in this virtual environment. CL&E is here to help! Attend our speed friending event to meet other first-year students. Who knows? You might meet your new bestie, new partner, or study buddy! This event will be held virtually and facilitated by CL&E staff. RSVP required.

Talking to New People: Choose Your Own Adventure for First-Year Students Edition

Date: October 11, 2020
Time: 4 - 5 PM EDT

Description: In this edition of Talking to New People, students get to choose their own adventure and join a breakout-room activity that speaks to them. Caitlin will be leading a chill drawing exercise (no artistic talent required!). And Sarah will be facilitating a journaling reflection on kindness and gratitude, in honour of Thanksgiving weekend. This event will be held virtually and facilitated by CL&E staff. RSVP required.

Talking to New People: Residence Life and Campus Life & Engagement Games Edition

Date: October 11, 2020
Time: 7 - 9 PM EDT

Description: Come join RLife for a fun afternoon of games and prizes! You can stay for the whole session or pop in and out, we'll be having fun and hanging out from 7 to 9 ✌This event will be held virtually and facilitated by Residence Life & CL&E staff. RSVP required.
