Campus Life & Engagement

Campus Life & Engagement (CL&E) is your go-to resource for any and all questions about McGill, and Montreal. Our office staff go out of their way to find you the information you need. When you have a question, or don’t know where to go, drop into, email, or call Campus Life & Engagement. CL&E is also the home to McGill's First-Year Coordinator and First-Year Assistant to Francophone Students, and plays a central role in planning Orientation events for new students.
Take note: 
Campus Life & Engagement is the new name for what was known as the First-Year Office. If you hear anyone mention that name, that’s us! We still offer you all the great support we did when we were the FYO – and now more (hence the name change).

International Student Services

International Student Service (ISS) provides programs and services to help ease the transition of international students to McGill and Montreal. These services include assistance and information on immigration, health insurance, working in Canada, and much more.

Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies

Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies (GPS) promotes university-wide academic excellence for graduate and postdoctoral education at McGill, and is a key contact and resource for information on thesis guidelines, funding opportunities, supervision, and much more!

    The GPS office is located in the James Administration Building (Room 400) and is open for scheduled appointments only.
    The hours of service are Monday – Thursday, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. and Fridays, 11 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
