Award Breakdown

  • SSHRC, NSERC, and CIHR are federal grants while FRQSC, FRQNT, and FRQS are provincial.

Eligibility information:

  • Federal grants: you must be a Canadian citizen and affiliated with a Canadian University in order to apply for the Federal grants.
  • Provincial grants: in order to apply for the provincial awards, you must be a Quebec resident. If you are a Canadian student who’s permanent residence is outside of QC or you are not a Canadian citizen, you can still apply if you have proof that you have lived in QC for 6 months and are enrolled in a Quebec University.
