DESCRIPTION:Family doctors need to make timely and accurate clinical decisi
 ons\, often in the context of complexity and uncertainty\, but approaches 
 to facilitate the development of these complex decision-making skills rema
 in largely unexplored. Script concordance testing (SCT) is a novel written
  assessment format designed to test clinical reasoning. It is also increas
 ingly being recognized for its potential educational value. Dr. Rajan Pate
 l will introduce the think-aloud SCT format and present a qualitative expl
 oration of UK family medicine trainees' experiences to using it as a learn
 ing tool. He will also propose an updated approach to standard setting the
  assessment\, developed to be practical and feasible for use in educationa
