FMED 702: Podcast Projects

On this page you can find podcasts created by our PhD students. These podcasts were developed as course assignments for FMED 702 (Power, the Body, and Health: Social Theory for Primary Care Research). The course was structured to introduce PhD-level students to social science theories that explain relations of power and concepts of embodiment that shape primary care. Students were guided towards an understanding of how social theories explain current health problems at individual, local, and in global context, with the ultimate objective of developing tools to reflect on how these theories relate to their own research interests. The podcast assignment was an opportunity to apply these skills by using social theory to explain or critique a topic of personal interest that is relevant to primary care or public health.
