The specific responsibilities of the PA are to receive, review, and act upon reports of alleged exemplary and/or suboptimal professional behaviours by students registered in the MDCM program (or related joint programs), as described in the UGME Policy on Student Professionalism Behaviours and the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences Code
Once again, we are approaching the annual NAPCRG (North American Primary Care Research Group) conference where we have traditionally had a very strong turn out by our McGill Department of Family Medicine!

The Department of Family Medicine (Halifax Site), Dalhousie University and NSHA, invites applications for a full-time academic family physician. Candidates will be appointed as Dalhousie Faculty and active staff with the Central Zone Department of Family Practice, Nova Scotia Health and potentially the IWK. This position involves provision of ambulatory, team-based, and comprehensive academic family medicine care including clinical supervision of medical learners.
Seeking participation in a service provider education study - learning how to recognize & respond to family violence
McGill Professor Dr. Delphine Collin-Vézina, as a member of the RISE (Researching the Impact of Service provider Education) research team, is inviting you to participate in a national, Public Health Agency of Canada-funded study aiming to improve care in situations of family violence.
The third edition of the Indigenous Welcoming Ceremony, held on October 27, honoured seven Indigenous academic staff from a wide range of disciplines, including history, political science, linguistics, anthropology and medicine. The two-hour-plus virtual ceremony welcomed six new academic hires, as well as a relatively recent hire who was not able to attend previous ceremonies.

Dr. Andréanne Lefort completed her medical studies at McGill University and joined McGill's Department of Family Medicine in 2011 when she began her residency in Family Medicine at the GMF-U de la Vallée-de-l'Or. "During my rural family medicine clerkship with McGill University, I had the chance to discover Val-d'Or, a wonderful setting for training," Dr. Lefort shares. Charmed by Abitibi-Témiscamingue, Dr. Lefort settled there as a family doctor.
On September 22, 2020, members of McGill University’s Department of Family Medicine were invited to a virtual kitchen table conversation, hosted by Richard Budgell, Associate Professor of Inuit and Northern Health Promotion and Alex McComber, Assistant Professor and responsible for the Indigenous Health Promotion Program in the Department of Family Medicine, about the design and purpose of an Indigenous space in the Department.
