Online Health Information Aid

We are very excited to share our brand-new website with you: Online Health Information Aid. This health literacy resource is the result of years of hard work and the passion of an amazing team. It brings together and is informed by the research on health information use outcomes led by Dr Pierre Pluye and the ITPCRG group, the Information Assessment Method, the MSc thesis of Reem El Sherif, and user-centered usability studies.

The website:

  • provides tips and resources on searching, evaluating, and using online health information;
  • aims to improve skills and confidence in finding trustworthy health information online (enabling positive outcomes while reducing negative ones);
  • developed based on research evidence and co-designed with users;
  • ultimately, supports lifelong learning and empowers people to participate in their own health care.

Please share widely! And we welcome your valuable ideas and feedback to help us make this website better.
