The new GMF-U building in Val D'Or is set to open its doors in June - July 2023 and members of our Department, including Ms. Alana Walsh-Ferland, Dr. Anne Michelle Bilodeau Dubé (site education director at GMF Vallée de l’Or), Ms. Julie Lane and Dr. Fanny Hersson-Edery were there to meet the team and see the construction progress.
The Val d'Or teaching site is part of the Centre intégré de santé et de services sociaux (CISSS) de l’Abitibi-Témiscamingue which includes the Val-d'Or Hospital Centre and a groupe de médicine familiale universitaire (GMF-U). The latter accommodates Family Medicine residents for their entire 2-year training. For more information on our Val d'Or training site, click here.
