Are you passionate about social justice, youth mentorship, or engaging in your community?  Do you want to volunteer in the city but don't know where to start?  SEDE's Community Engagement branch hosts a variety of events, projects, and workshops aimed at helping get you involved and addressing needs in the Montreal community.

 

 

Alternative Spring Break

Alternative Spring Break (ASB)  takes place during McGill’s Reading Week, offering students the opportunity to spend five days participating in various activities with local Montreal organizations. Students will learn about and contribute to social justice issues, develop skills related to civic engagement, and immerse themselves in diverse projects.

Experiential Community-Engaged Learning & Research (ExCELR)

ExCELR is a teaching and learning approach that integrates volunteer community work with academic study to enrich learning, teach civic responsibility, and strengthen communities.

Schools Outreach Programs

Our Schools Outreach Programs, including Homework Zone, My Day at McGill, and Spaghetti Nights Family workshops, foster close partnerships and mentorship opportunities between McGill and local public schools.
