Karen Diop joined the Equity team as Program Manager, Anti-Black Racism Action Plan. Her work focuses on anti-oppression education and anti-racism education. She connects with faculty, staff, and students across the University. She has international experience in qualitative research and programming on gender and international migration issues. For the past seven years, she has worked in Europe, West Africa, and Canada on vulnerability assessment and policy. Her interests include decolonial practices and anti-racist initiatives that aim to reduce societal inequalities to improve policymaking. She values radical empathy and in every sphere of her life, practicing care is crucial. Her qualifications include a BSc in Economics and Political Science (University of Montreal), a post-graduate diploma in Management (HEC Montreal), and an MSc in Leadership and Development (King’s College London).
