Ukpöng Etang

Ukpöng “Mr. Pöng” Etang is an artist like you’ve never seen or heard before! His instrument of choice is the steelpan, originating from Trinidad & Tobago. Since 2001, he’s been honing his skills with Salah’s Steelpan Academy (SSA) and developing his musical ear. Mr. Pöng, the artist, was actually born in the depths of Montreal’s metro transit system! He started busking in 2015 and has been building a dynamic repertoire (Pop, R&B, Hip-Hop, Soca, Reggae), and captivating audiences from all walks of life, ever since. For future endeavours, Mr. Pöng is working towards breaking into the festival scene, doing session work, and collaborating with other artists.
