Khaelan King

Khaelan King was born and raised in Barbados where she graduated from Queen’s College – one of Barbados’ oldest and top ranked secondary school’s – at the age of 16.She then went on to pursue her International Baccalaureate Diplomaat United World College in New Mexico before being accepted to Mcgill University in 2018.She is currently working toward her Bachelor’s Degree in political science with a minor concentration in sociology. Khaelan has served on the executive team of the Caribbean Students Society of McGill for 3 years; first as Public Relations Officer, then as Vice President and is now the current President. Khaelan is very passionate about bringing different elements of the Caribbean to McGill, from research efforts to the incorporation of Caribbean history into our curriculum.

McGill University is on land which has long served as a site of meeting and exchange amongst Indigenous peoples, including the Haudenosaunee and Anishinabeg nations. We acknowledge and thank the diverse Indigenous peoples whose presence marks this territory on which peoples of the world now gather.
