Dr. Ted Tewfik graduated from Alexandria University, Faculty of Medicine. He did his Otolaryngology training at McGill University in Montreal and completed a Fellowship in Pediatric Otolaryngology at the Cincinnati Children Hospital Medical Center, Ohio. He is presently Professor and Director of Continuing Medical Education of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery, McGill University, Montreal, Canada. He is Senior Staff at the Montreal General and the Royal Victoria Hospitals in Montreal. In 2011, he became Professor of Pediatric Surgery at McGill University.

Dr. Tewfik is interested in all aspects of Pediatric Otolaryngology. He authored, co-authored and edited over 260 scientific manuscripts, abstracts, book chapters and is the senior editor of a book entitled “Congenital Anomalies of the Ear, Nose and Throat” published by Oxford University Press. He has been invited as Guest Professor and Speaker at several Medical Schools, Societies and Universities in North America, Europe, Asia and the Middle East

He was a member of the Examining Board in Otolaryngology at the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and President of the Otolaryngology Examination Board in the Quebec College of Physicians in Montreal, Canada. He was Vice-President of the Association of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery of Quebec and President of the Meeting of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery of Canada in 2007. Dr. Tewfik was the Senior Associate Editor of the Journal of Otolaryngology and member of the Editorial Boards of a dozen other Medical Scientific Journals in Canada, the United States and Europe.
