Her first poetry chapbook\, ‘The Country With No Playgrounds’\, won the Live Canon C hapbook prize. Her first novel was shortlisted for the Wilbur Smith Prize - Best Unpublished Novel. She is the former poet laureate of Boston\, and a professor of creative writing at Lesley Un iversity. He has won Writer's Digest Writing Co mpetition poetry prize awards in 2015\, 2017\, 2018\, and in 2019 a First Prize in Poetry\, with three WD Honorable Mentions this year.
