Medieval and Early Modern English poetry; cultural history of religion; the Eucharist; literature and the environment.
Shaun Ross studies medieval and early modern English poetry. His dissertation, Eucharistic Poetics from Chaucer to Milton, explores how the theological debates going on in those periods inform issues of poetics. His essay, “Robert Southwell: Sacrament and Self,” is forthcoming in English Literary Renaissance.
