Eric Lamarre is a Senior Partner at McKinsey & Company and the North American leader of McKinsey Digital. He advises global companies in the financial services, advanced industries, and resources sectors. His expertise areas include: large-scale technology-enabled transformations, risk management, business strategy, post-merger management, and productivity improvement programs.

Eric is a member of the McGill Faculty of Engineering Advancement Board. He received his B.Eng. in Civil Engineering from McGill University and his PhD in Civil Engineering from MIT.

Jacomo Corbo is a cofounder and the Chief Scientist of QuantumBlack, an advanced analytics firm operating at the intersection of strategy, technology and design to improve performance outcomes for organizations. He leads a team of data scientists and analytics engineers focused on the development and engineering of generalizable and powerful methods, tools and infrastructure to build predictive, explanatory and optimization models with high-dimensional and large-scale data.

Jacomo holds a Ph.D. from the Department of Computer Science at Harvard University, an S.M. in Applied Mathematics from the Harvard Graduate School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, and a B.Eng. in Electrical Engineering from McGill University.

Innovations Catalyst in Engineering (ICE) and McGill Engineering Student Centre (MESC) participated in the Tournée-Agir event which brought together SMEs, consultants, researchers, and government funding agencies to exchange and network in order to accelerate the growth of innovative SMEs.

McGill-i-Novia Tech Innovation Day - April 5, 2013

A new initiative aimed at fostering a stronger entrepreneurial culture in Montreal and across McGill University. Conceived through the first joint collaboration between McGill Students, Professors, Administrators, as well as multiple Montreal venture capital and other firms serving the local entrepreneurial community, Innovation Day aims to set the foundation for a strong, innovative start-up community centered at McGill University. Beginning with a line-up of outstanding speakers, Lorne Trottier, Yona Shtern, Ben Yokovitz and Conor Clarke will all be giving first-hand accounts of their experiences launching their companies. Then, we will be hosting a pitch competition to give students and professors alike the chance to win a total of 7000$ in prizes toward launching their own start-up. Finally, we will finish off the day with a networking cocktail where you will have a chance to share ideas with like-minded individuals. Event and competition is open to all McGill students, researchers, and professors. Products or services must be technology-related, IT, software, media, mobile services or web-based.

Quebec Entrepreneurship Contest - March 14, 2013

An information session was presented for aspiring or existing entrepreneurs, by SAJE representatives. Students could learn how to enhance their entrepreneurial skills, and new Entrepreneurs could learn to highlight their business ideas. A leader in its domain, SAJE exists to contribute to the business success of new entrepreneurs by providing advisory services, coaching and training.
