Engineering Stay on Track Program

Everyone is having to adapt to remote learning. The fact that you’re learning through your screen, either at home or somewhere other than the classroom, makes staying motivated and meeting deadlines that much harder. To help support you in this reality, the Faculty of Engineering and Teaching and Learning Services will be offering a new peer-to-peer program, called Stay on Track, starting February 1st. The purpose is to keep you focused and motivated as you progress through the Winter term.

Based on your needs, you can choose to participate in one or more tracks, each with different levels of involvement.

Track A

Digital-only objectives with reminders

Track B

with your coach & optional digital reminders

Track C

Peer study group
& optional digital reminders

You set your learning and wellbeing objectives with your Academic Student Coach. Each day you receive a reminder to help you meet your objectives. Once you are ready, reminders can become weekly.

After an initial session where you and your coach will set your learning and wellbeing objectives, you will have a weekly check-in to discuss progress and barriers. You can also opt to receive daily digital reminders of your objectives.

Fight isolation by joining a study group where you can meet regularly in a virtual study hall. You can motivate each other and hold one another accountable even if you are working on different projects. You can also opt to receive daily digital reminders of your objectives.

Upon completing the form below, please expect a response from our Engineering Stay on Track Team within 48 hours with information about next steps. If you have any questions about this web form or the program, please email stayontrack.engineering [at] mcgill.ca. The deadline to register is Friday, February 12th.
