If your question is not addressed below, please visit McGill's Coronavirus Information page or email [at]

Can I come to campus and access the Engineering complex?

McGill University is operational and is gradually increasing specific academic and research-related on-campus activities under the rigorous directives of public health authorities and the government.

To ensure the safety of the McGill community, and in line with the University’s protocols, access to the Engineering complex is restricted to faculty and staff explicitly authorized through one of Engineering’s Access Protocols or to students who have a scheduled appointment/meeting/authorized in-person course on campus.

Everyone authorized to return to campus is required to consult McGill’s Health Guidelines and Coronavirus Information page and must depart the building as soon as their appointment/work/class is finished

What facilities or services are closed?

Please see McGill's Operational Status page for the most up-to-date information on facilities and resources.

Who should I contact in case of an emergency on campus?

McGill’s Security Services can still be contacted in case of an emergency.

What should I do if I am expecting a delivery?

Staff who are expecting deliveries during the suspension period should reach out to their suppliers to coordinate deliveries. If you are not on campus, please cancel the delivery or arrange to have the goods delivered to an alternate location. Staff who are authorized to be on campus to provide necessary functions will need to ensure that they are present to receive deliveries of services or goods. Security agents are not authorized to accept deliveries.

What is the protocol if I have been granted access to the McGill campus?

In order to ensure the safety of everyone allowed to be physically present on campus, please remember that only authorized people are allowed access to McGill buildings to carry out approved functions and activities. As per the Quebec government directive, and until further clarification from the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, no one is allowed to access McGill buildings to retrieve personal belongings. Even if you have been granted authorization, you are not allowed to open doors for friends or colleagues. Allowing people into a McGill building puts yourself and others who are required to be on campus at risk.

Please also see McGill's Health Guidelines and Coronavirus Information page for safety measures and procedures while back on campus.

How can I plan an event on campus?

To plan an on-campus event, please see the University Directives for On-Campus Events before filling out the Protocol for Resumption of Non-Research Activities
