Faculty of Engineering-specific COVID-19 FAQs
McGill is facing unprecedented challenges because of the coronavirus and associated needs for social distancing, self-isolation, work-from-home conditions, illness, and distance as many students have now left Montreal. Following the directives of public authorities, the University decided to pause all course-related activities for a two-week period beginning on March 14, 2020 in order to adjust academic measures for remote instruction and assessment which began on March 30, 2020. You can read more about the principles guiding the adjusted academic measures here.
We understand that these changes are demanding and want to assure you that the Faculty of Engineering is here to support and address your concerns. As such, we’ve developed Engineering-specific FAQ pages to help answer some of your questions. We will continue to update these pages, so please check back regularly. Please visit McGill’s FAQs, as well as it Operational Status page, for the latest university updates.
We would also like to remind you that in order to promote social distancing and prioritize the health and safety of the community, students, staff, and faculty members should not be on McGill campus without explicit permission. McGill’s Security Services are still available, in case of an emergency.
