DESCRIPTION:The Dept. of Geography is organizing two 20 hour Wilderness Fir
 st Aid course in April.\n\n \n\nThe next 20 hour Wilderness First Aid cour
 ses will be at a Montreal Sports Club on November 23 & 24. The instructor 
 will be from www.siriusmed.com.\n\nDay 1 : 08h30 am to about 10 pm. It is 
 a long day. And\n\nDay 2 : 08h30 to 17h30. \n\n \n\nA minimum of 7 committ
 ed participants is required to run a course.\n\nIf we have fewer than 7 pa
 rticipants before the course\, the group will have the option of paying sl
 ightly more per person\, so the course goes ahead.\n\n \n\nTraining and to
 pics.\n\n\n	CPR and AED cardiac defibrilation.\n	First Aid treatment of inju
 ries - basics and specifics for remote locations.\n	Assessing and stabilizi
 ng injuries in preparation for emergency evacuation.\n	3 - 4 outdoor simula
 tions near Burnside Hall.\n\n\n \n\nCertification and first aid books will
  be provided.\n\n \n\nSome research grants cover the cost of Wilderness Fi
 rst Aid training\, so ask your supervisors.\n\n \n\nCost. The cost per par
