DESCRIPTION:The Dept. of Geography is organizing two 20 hour Wilderness Fir
 st Aid course in March.\n\n \n\nFriday March 15\, 2024 evening 18h00 - 22h
 00\,\n\nSaturday and Sunday March 16 and 17\, 09h00 – 18h00.\n\n \n\nAND\n
 \n \n\nFriday March 22\, 2024 evening 18h00 - 22h00\,\n\nand Saturday and 
 Sunday March 23 and 24\, 09h00 – 18h00.\n\n \n\nTrainings includes\n\n \n
 \n\n	CPR and AED cardiac defibrilation.\n	First Aid treatment of injuries - 
 basics and specifics for remote locations.\n	Assessing and stabilizing inju
 ries in preparation for emergency evacuation.\n	3 - 4 outdoor simulations n
 ear Burnside Hall.\n\n\n \n\nThe course will be conducted by Atout Plus\, 
 that has done courses on campus for many years.\n\nCertification and first
  aid books will be provided.\n\n \n\nSome research grants cover the cost o
 f Wilderness First Aid training\, so ask your supervisors.\n\n \n\nCost. T
 he final cost per participant will depend on the number of participants in
  the class.\n\nMinimum group size is 6 persons\, and maximum group size is
  12.\n\nFor example for a group of 10\, the cost per participant would be 
 tentatively $250 each + taxes.\n\n \n\nThe cost per participant will be co
 nfirmed in early March.\n\nParticipants are asked to pay either by e-trans
