From Saturday, Oct. 5 through Monday, Oct. 7, the Downtown and Macdonald Campuses will be open only to McGill students, employees and essential visitors. Many classes will be held online. Remote work required where possible. See Campus Public Safety website for details.

Safe Use of BSCs course - Macdonald campus

Target Audience: All staff and students required to use a biological safety cabinet must follow this course.

McGill students & staff click on register online using the McGill Human Resources Staff Development course registration system.

Non-Mcgill student registrants please complete and submit the Paying Participant Training Form

Content: HEPA filtration, cabninet airflow characteristics, types of hoods, and safe work practices.

Duration: 2 hours (including examination time)

Cost (McGill): Free for McGill Community (students, staff and faculty). When registering using the on-line registration system you will be prompted to enter a FOAPAL - no FOAPAL is required therefore leave the field blank.

Cost (Non-McGill): $25 (if paid by PI); $100.00 per person plus applicable taxes for other payment methods.
