Room Bookings

McGill Education students and staff are still able to reserve workspaces around campus, provided they follow the appropriate application processes and health/safety protocols. 

 

Room Reservation Process During COVID

Prior to submitting your request to book a room, please determine the type of activity your request falls under by consulting  McGill's Framework on Meetings, Extracurricular Activities & Events All students and personnel must adhere to the guidelines indicated. Failure to comply with the instructions outlined above may result in the cancellation of your room booking. You are encouraged to consult the above-mentioned webpage for all information on Meetings, Extracurricular Activities & Events for Fall 2021 and Winter 2022.

*** Note for all meetings, extracurricular activities, and events, masks are required. Participants are required to keep 1-metre distancing. If food/beverages are served, 2-metre distancing is required.***

Meetings

Meetings are defined as planned and organized assemblies of individuals within regular (i.e. routine) academic or curricular, research, or work-related activities. The only rooms available for meetings are those that are locally managed as part of the Faculty of Education. Prior to submitting your room request, department-level approval is needed. Please submit all “Meeting” requests to your Department Chair. When submitting your request, please include all details and note if food/beverages will be served. Upon approval from your Chair, please submit the locally-booked room request to vanessa.bridgman [at] mcgill.ca (subject: Room%20Booking) (Vanessa Bridgman) (Education Building, Coach House, Duggan House) or to kin.physed [at] mcgill.ca (Josee DiSano) (KPE sector of Currie Gym).
**Vaccine passports are not required for meetings***

Extra-Curricular Activities

Extracurricular Activities are defined as activities organized for students in addition to their course and research activities, which can involve enrichment activities related to course and/or research activities, enrichment activities (not directly related to course or research), social activities, etc. Extra-curricular activities that use only locally-managed spaces need Faculty-level approval. Please submit these requests, including all details, to Nadia.conte2 [at] mcgill.ca (Nadia Conte).

If you require a room outside of Education's locally-managed facilities (i.e. Education Building, Coach House, Duggan House, KPE sector of Currie Gym) you will need to have this approved centrally by submitting your request to emergency.mgmt [at] mcgill.ca (McGill's Emergency Operations Centre (EOC)). When submitting your request, please indicate if food/beverages will be served. Upon approval from the EOC, you may proceed to reserve a room with timetableproject.es [at] mcgill.ca (Class Scheduling).

Events

Events are defined as the planned and organized assembly of individuals outside of regular academic or curricular, research, or work-related activities; in other words, they are one-time occurrences or special occasions. Events that use only locally-managed spaces need Faculty-level approval. Please submit these requests, including all details, to Nadia.conte2 [at] mcgill.ca (Nadia Conte).
