DISE's Veronika Horlik winner of RBC Emerging Artist People's Choice Award

Veronika Horlik, Art Education instructor with our faculty's Department of Integrated Studies in Education (DISE), has been announced as the recipient of the 2015 RBC Emerging Artist People's Choice Award. The award particularly celebrates the artistic medium of clay. Horlik's winning submission is entitled PROUNS(SLASH), and is a 300-pound ceramic reinterpretation of Japanese video game Katamari Damacy, also drawing inspiration from Horlik's experience with the Canadian reforestation industry.
The Award exhibition continues at Toronto's Gardiner Museum until August 30th. Veronika Horlik has been instructor of Art Education with DISE since 2005. In addition she teaches visual arts and ceramics at John Abbott College. Please visit Veronika Horlik's website for portfolio images and more.
