Media Spotlight – New Lay Article Published by Dr. Langevin, ECP, and Dr. Hébert, UQAM, on Young Victims of Child Sexual Abuse
Dr. Rachel Langevin, ECP, and Dr. Martine Hébert, UQAM, recently published a lay article based on their research in the past decade on young victims of child sexual abuse, more specifically, the focus is on preschool-aged victims.
The article was just published online with The Conversation. It provides a brief overview of the difficulties faced by young victims of child sexual abuse and their families, specifically prevalence rates, difficulties related to the disclosure, the consequences of the abuse, and the prevention and intervention strategies that can be used with this population.
