Profs. Limin Jao and Marta Kobiela, of our Department of Integrated Studies in Education, spoke at length with McGill Tribune recently for their feature article about mathematics pedagogy.
"The way math is taught now in many primary and secondary schools across North America, however, leaves much to be desired," writes McGill Tribune in part. "Most curricula foster a high-pressure learning environment, heavily focused on students’ abilities to recite formulas, perform calculations, and not ask questions."
