Virtual Convocation

Bagpiper on the McGill Arts Building Steps

Graduation is monumental, no matter the circumstances—and while we know there’s no replacement for crossing the stage, we still want to mark this occasion by celebrating all of our graduates’ accomplishments. That’s why McGill will be hosting 4 virtual ceremonies on November 5, 2020. This will be an unprecedented opportunity for our graduates to celebrate and share this moment virtually with friends and family from across the globe.

There will be 4 separate videos between 20 and 30 minutes long which will include some traditional elements of Convocation, like speeches and music, as well as graduate names, a photo montage and a special guest.

Each video will be premiered at a particular date and time, they will be available for viewing afterwards to accommodate students in different time zones and those who are otherwise unable to watch the video during its release. Family and friends of graduating students, as well as any other members of the McGill community, will also be able to view the videos both at their premiere times and afterwards.
