You are invited to come and meet me, Katelyn Ward, your Local Wellness Advisor (LWA) embedded within the Education Faculty, at Wellness 101! The goal of the Wellness 101 interactive workshop is to learn more about the resources and tools available on and off campus that help contribute to wellness and overall well-being. You will learn tools and skills that you can apply to both your academic and personal lives.
Drawing from her recent book Suffer the Little Children: Genocide, Indigenous Nations and the Canadian State, Tamara Starblanket examines how genocide is operationalized in Canada. Focusing primarily on breaking the intergenerational transmission of Indigenous Peoples' national identities from parents to children by the forcible removals from the Indigenous Nations on Turtle Island to the residential school system and present-day removals in the child welfare system.
