Heath Research Team StressOFF Strategies for Teens Program

Professor Nancy Heath’s research team is delivering a face-to-face training of high school teachers and technicians using  a manualized program (StressOFF Strategies for Teens; SOS4Teens) which they developed. StressOFF uses  mindfulness-based stress management techniques.

ECP Welcomes Professors Eve-Marie Quintin and Marina Milyavskaya

Dr. Eve-Marie Quintin will be joining the Department of Educational and Counselling Psychology in August 2014 as an Assistant Professor in School/Applied Child Psychology. Dr. Quintin holds a Ph.D. in Psychology from the Université du Québec à Montréal. She worked as Postdoctoral Researcher at the Georgia Institute of Technology, School of Psychology, and is a registered psychologist and neuropsychologist through the Ordre des Psychologues du Québec.

Tanya Chichekian, a Doctoral Candidate in the Leanring Sciences program, Department of Educational and Counselling Psychology, was recently honored with a Recognition Award from the Canadian Asssociation for Teacher Education (CATE) for her Doctoral dissertation's contribution to research on teacher education in Canada, entitled "Self-Efficiancy for Inquiry-Based Instruction" Surviving the Leap from Student-Teacher to an Inquiry-Oriented Novice Teacher".
