51 bursary recipients share a total of $325,000 for the 2020-2021 academic year

Published: 30 October 2020

Through its Health and Social Services Community Leadership Bursary Program, Dialogue McGill awarded a total of $325,000 to 51 health and social services students from 14 Quebec regions in the 2020-2021 academic year. Depending on the bursary category and level of study, recipients will receive anywhere from $2,500 to $10,000. The recipients have committed to working in their home region following the successful completion of their studies for a minimum of one year in a public health and social services institution or related organization.

These return of service bursaries are under the leadership of the English-speaking community networks from each of the Quebec regions, and are awarded in accordance with regional and local needs for access to services in English.

English-speaking health and social services professionals are underrepresented in all regions of Quebec. For more than 15 years, Dialogue McGill has been committed to addressing that shortage. Its bursary program was designed to give Quebec health and social services institutions access to a larger pool of graduates capable of providing services in both English and French.
