Research Administrator

POSITION SUMMARY

Under the direction of the Director and Associate Director, the Research Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Research Program by ensuring that activities are carried out in accordance with established objectives and timelines.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Act as first point of contact for Dialogue McGill’s Research Program
  • Organize and perform activities to support the daily operations of the Research Program
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with researchers, students, and other key stakeholders
  • Oversee and administer all research funding calls, including preparation of application materials, dissemination of funding call announcements, review of submitted applications, and organize of review committee meetings
  • Organize all post-award research activities, including compiling funding results letters, subaward agreements, and other relevant documentation
  • Train and supervise research support staff and volunteers
  • Organize and attend Dialogue McGill research events and meetings
  • Implement and oversee Dialogue McGill program evaluation activities
  • Write financial, sponsor, and stakeholder progress reports
  • Ensure all research activities are performed in accordance with McGill University and federal sponsor policies and procedures
  • Complete additional research financial and administrative activities as needed

 

OTHER QUALIFYING SKILLS AND/OR ABILITIES:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred
  • Excellent English and French communication skills, oral and written
  • Experience in all aspects of project management
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and adhere to timelines
  • Competency with computer programs, including Microsoft Office, SPSS, and electronic data capture systems (e.g., Qualtrics, REDCap)
  • Strong background in writing scientific and sponsor reports
  • Knowledge of McGill financial and administration policies and procedures is an asset

Annual Salary:

(MPEX Grade 03) $52,210.00 - $65,260.00 - $78,310.00
