PROJECT DESCRIPTION
A) Personal Care Attendant Summer Training Program:
There is a serious need for English-speaking health workers in Québec City. CEGEP Champlain - St. Lawrence’s program trains cégep students who are planning a career in the health care area to work as personal care attendants at Jeffery Hale Hospital - Saint Brigid’s during the summer period with the possibility of continued employment while they are in school.
B) Bilingual Nursing Program:
CEGEP Champlain - St. Lawrence will continue its efforts to establish a partnership with Cégep de Sainte‑Foy to offer Nursing students the possibility of doing all of their general education courses, including two Medical English Terminology courses in English. In addition CEGEP Champlain - St. Lawrence will develop on-line Medical English Terminology courses, which could be made available to all Nursing students throughout the province.
