International Study Trip
The annual London, England study trip provides a window into how today’s financial sector operates in a booming metropolis. Leveraging McGill’s extensive alumni network, students meet with leaders in major financial organizations that operate across areas such as asset management, real estate, risk management, and private equity.
Desautels Capital Management
The MMF Program offers students the unique opportunity to run Desautels Capital Management Inc. (DCM), Canada’s first university-owned, student-run registered multi-million dollar investment firm. DCM offers a unique hands-on experience in asset management that allows students to hit the ground running when they enter the workplace.

Social events abound to springboard your career. Drawing from the strengths of the Desautels Global Experts, a group of over 100 seasoned industry leaders, students benefit from regular guest lectures, informal networking events, and company visits.
- Each November, Desautels Capital Management welcomes more than 30 industry professionals to meet the fund analysts comprising both the Honours in Investment Management and the MMF programs.
- Each year, the MMF program appoints an industry leader as the class patron who provides mentoring to students to further ensure their success.
