McGill MBA Marketing Association
Our mission is to make the club the most valuable platform for students and alumni interested in making a career in the marketing industry. We aim to provide students with resources to gain the marketing know-how and continuous practical engagements to hone their skills. We create opportunities to spark conversations with current students, alumni and faculty to gain clarity on the world of marketing be it current trends, various marketing roles or simply networking. And finally, we aim to foster a community feeling between all our members always providing support, guidance and direction.
McGill Business Technology Club
The McGill Business Technology (MBTC) Club is a vibrant student community to share their passion for technology which is driving and impacting various business lines around the world. One of the main objectives of the club is to raise awareness about latest technology and trends. This club is a platform to discuss the dynamic nature of technology, host networking and training sessions for students. The club will achieve these objectives through speaker events, alumni meets and career treks. For freshmen students looking to make career in technology, this club will play an important role in giving them the right directions.
McGill MBA Entrepreneurship Club
The Entrepreneurship club's mission is to encourage, inspire and support student entrepreneurship and innovation within the MBA community. Our events and programs expose students to the various facets of new ventures and support the expansion of McGill's entrepreneurial network. Join us for our topic specific sessions, guest lectures, and idea generation "brain jams". We also work with the McGill Dobson Centre for Entrepreneurship at Desautels.
Net Impact - McGill Chapter
Net Impact is a network of more than 11,000 new-generation leaders committed to using the power of business to improve the world. It is also one of the most innovative and influential networks of MBAs, graduate students and young professionals in existence today. Net Impact McGill Chapter offers an opportunity for members to broaden their business education and exposure to socially responsible organizations, refine their leadership skills through participation in socially responsible activities that give back to the community, and, of course, build their network.
McGill MBA Women's Association
The MMWA's mission is to maximize the professional development of female students and alumni of the McGill MBA program through strategic engagement with the McGill community and broader Montreal networks. We enable networking opportunities, celebrate successful women in business and facilitate interactions with influential people.
McGill Management Consulting Club
Founded in 1999, the McGill Consulting Club is a student-run organization dedicated to educating the McGill Management community about the consulting industry and preparing students for successful careers within the Consulting industry.
McGill MBA Finance Club
The McGill MBA Finance Club aspires to educate its members in the various aspects of the finance field whilst supporting their career preparation and increasing their marketability to employers. We aim to accomplish this by establishing an interactive and social environment, in which members are provided the opportunity to develop new skills and enhance their network of industry contacts.
McGill MBA Case Competition Association
We are in touch with universities around the world and support our MBAs enrol and participate in Case Competitions hosted by these universities. Some of the case competitions on our radar are the SDA Bocconi, SFU Net Impact Sustainability Challenge, Corporate Knights, Queen's Innovation Summit Case Competition, Hult Prize, MIT Sloan Analytics Case Competition, USC Marshall Global Consulting Challenge, HEC Sustainability Challenge, Corporate Knights, etc. We are also working on building and hosting a world class competition ourselves.
The MBA Club de la Francophonie
The MBA Club de la Francophonie is a social and conversation club seeking to promote the French Language and culture at the MBA level. The club provides students with a forum in which they can improve and maintain their French language skills while enjoying themselves at a social and educational level. It offers French lessons with a tutor to beginner and intermediate students during lunch hours. The lessons are opened to all MBA students and Faculty members.
Outlook on Business
Outlook on Business is an organization open to all students with an interest in business-related Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer (LGBTQ) issues. Its purpose is to foster a supportive environment and to promote professional development opportunities for LGBTQ students and their allies. Through events, speakers, and participation in external activities, such as LGBTQ oriented job fairs, case competitions and conventions, this club encourages students to broaden their professional networks.
PREREQ – Programme de Retour à l'Emploi Réfugiés Québec
We, a group of McGill MBA and undergraduate students, seek to help newcomers with their challenges in securing employment in Montreal, through a buddy program and an entrepreneurship incubator that address individual needs of each newcomer. Founded in 2016, Prereq is a platform where newcomers and students form individual job search process side-by-side from day one to finish line, to overcome the information overflow and speed up the economic integration of newcomers.
McGill MBA Latin America Club
McGill MBA Latin-American Club is a student organization open to all McGill MBA students who are interested in the Latin-American culture. The main goal of the club is to share the Latin-American culture at McGill and enhance the MBA experience of its members by building a supportive network. The club organizes social events (dinners to Latin restaurants, Latin parties, salsa classes) and professional events (speaker series, language exchange, information about job opportunities in Latin-American companies, etc.).
McGill MBA Asia Club
We promote and educate our cohort on Asian culture and values, bring together the MBA, MMF and PMBAs in social gatherings, introduce spousal mixers, support and collaborate with other graduate and undergraduate clubs on collective initiatives.
McGill MBA Basketball Club
We support and run a team of MBAs passionate about basketball. We train, play and participate in the McGill intramurals and play other universities in Montreal such as HEC.
McGill MBA Hockey Club
The club fosters two teams of McGill MBA Ice hockey players who compete in McGill’s intramurals and MBA Ice Hockey competitions across North America. The intramural games take place once a week at McGill’s McConnell Arena. The club organizes MBAs to be at Montreal Canadiens hockey games and McGill Redmen Varsity hockey games. We also host Harvard and Rotman every year, while also visiting Harvard for playoffs. Most importantly, we support everyone and anyone who is interested in learning the game.
McGill MBA Soccer Club
The Soccer Club is a recreational club that aims to build interpersonal relationships with other current and former MBA students via the most popular and loved sport in the world: Soccer (Fútbol). The MBA soccer club registers two teams (men only and coed) for the winter and fall intramural tournaments each year. Additionally, we develop social networking activities around soccer events to encourage camaraderie and friendship. The team also plays in the MBA World Cup at Tuck Business School in New Hampshire. McGill is traditionally the only Canadian school to participate in this event, which is held on the first weekend after exams in April.
McGill MBA Raquets Club
The club aims to provide an interactive and inclusive community for Desautels masters students interested in squash, tennis, badminton, table tennis and as the name says, any racquet sport.
Long-Short Club aims at organizing non-drinking recreational/sporting events to promote social interaction and engage in team building activities. With an objective of organizing an event every two weeks, the club seeks to integrate MMF and MBA families at Desautels Faculty of Management and to enable students to take a breather from their rigorous coursework.
