McGill Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification

What is the length of the course?

The course includes 9.5 days of training, excluding coaching.

Is there an accelerated option?

We are not providing an accelerated option at this time, as our priority is to ensure recognition from major organizations around the world.

Are there any prerequisite requirements for this course?

Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification from McGill University. Other Green Belt certifications are welcome and will be assessed for content equivalence.

  • 2 years of work experience in any field.
  • Exceptions will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

Is this offered online or in person?

This live virtual training is offered online without any recording.

I work full-time. Will I still be able to take this course?

Most of our participants balance the demands of the course with a full-time job. As the training days will be scheduled from Friday to Sunday, you would need to make any accommodations with your employer. Because this course only takes place over a few weekends, we do not find that our participants experience major scheduling conflicts.

Do I need to prepare anything prior to each training?

You will work on your certification project for a few hours each week between sessions. Coaching is available for support.

Are there tasks or commitments outside of course days?

You will identify and complete a certification project and prepare a certification exam.

How much does the certification course cost?

The total cost is $9,999.00 CDN (taxes included).

I’ve completed my Lean Six Sigma Green Belt training with McGill already. Can I get a discount?

We offer this program at a highly competitive rate, considering that training, coaching, certification, and software tools like Minitab are included, and are unable to offer discounts at this time.

Does the cost include tax?

Yes, taxes are included.

Are there payment plan options?

We can accept payment in three installments of $3,333.00.

Can I pay by cheque?

At this time, we can only accept payment by credit card in order to comply with McGill University’s COVID-19 safety regulations. Please contact us to inquire about other payment options.

Why should I invest time and money in this program when there are online options available at a lower cost?

While you can certainly enroll in a lower-cost, less intensive online certificate program online, we are confident that our program provides an unparalleled calibre of professional education, coaching, and tools for growth.

Project management practices form just one component of this holistic approach. Project management training, including the project management professional certification (PMP), focus on learning tools and techniques to ensure that projects are planned adequately in order to meet budget, cost, and scheduling goals. Unlike Lean Six Sigma, the PMP does not include any improvement or problem solving components. Lean Six Sigma training and PMP can complement each other, although they are designed to achieve different objectives.
