Internationally-Acclaimed Professors

McGill University, known for its high academic standards, leading-edge research and prominent professors, has earned a reputation as one of the world's leading universities. Our graduates and faculty include ten nobel Prize winners and 138 Rhodes Scholars.

Through your BCom, you will have access to professors from every continent who are highly committed to sharing their research and international experience in the classroom. Over two-thirds of the professors who teach in the Faculty hail from every corner of the world and are involved in the Faculty's numerous international projects.

Transfer Credit & Advanced Standing

Wherever possible, you will be notified of transfer credits and advanced standing at the time of acceptance. In many instances, however, courses must be evaluated by the Faculty. It is the student’s responsibility to provide the appropriate professor or area coordinator with a detailed course outline, including the text(s) used. The advisers in the BCom Office will be pleased to assist you in this process and point you in the right direction. Advanced Placement results with a score of 4 or 5 must be declared at the time of initial registration at the University. Please note that transfer students will need to have a minimum of 60 credits completed at McGill University in order to graduate with a McGill degree.
