 nk will be emailed to attendees\n\nRegister\n\nThis event will encourage a
 ttendees to consider the issue of food insecurity within Northern Communit
 ies\, with an emphasis on the Quebec region\, and how the business communi
 ty can play a role in transforming food systems. Participants will learn a
 bout the intersections of socioeconomic inequity\, food prices and non-tra
 ditional means of food sourcing.\n\nThis event will feature:\n\nCameron Mc
 Rae\, a doctoral student at the Desautels Faculty of Management at McGill 
 University. Cameron holds a Joseph-Armand Bombardier Canada Graduate Schol
 arship – Doctoral (CGS-D) for his research on how marketing practices and 
 digital tools can be designed and implemented to support equitable\, healt
 hy\, and sustainable consumer decisions. Cameron also teaches a course on 
 ‘health and society’ to Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) students at the Firs
 t Nations Technical Institute (FNTI) in Tyendinaga\, Ontario. FNTI is an I
 ndigenous-owned and governed institution that brings together students fro
 m communities across all of Ontario for Indigenous-based education program
 s\, such as the BSW program that is offered in partnership with Ryerson Un
 iversity. Cameron is a member of the Huron-Wendat First Nation in the regi
 on of Wendake\, Québec.\n\nJulie Katsuak Lussier is a third year Desautels
  student at McGill University concentrating in accounting. She is from Sal
 luit\, Nunavik\, and is based in Montréal\, Québec. Her academic training 
 includes diplomas in languages\, and business administration at John Abbot
 t College and in sociology at Concordia University. To date\, she has work
 ed at the regional government level\, in NPOs\, as well as in retail\, bef
 ore having enrolled into the accountancy program at McGill with the aim of
  creating projects and policies related to economic development in norther
 n regions. She is also a proud member of the Canadian Armed Forces in whic
 h she earned her basic military qualifications.\n
