Nathalie Kristo serves as Senior Vice President of Marketing for L’Oréal Paris USA since September 2010. She oversees marketing efforts for the brand’s four beauty categories – cosmetics, skincare, hair color and hair care. With over a decade of vast global consumer goods experience, Ms. Kristo has developed business and marketing strategies for domestic and international product launches, where she generated strong sales and profit growth.
She joined L’Oréal Paris’ global headquarters as International Brand Manager of Hair Care and Styling in 2000. The sole North American selected to join L’Oréal’s newly-created global team, she spearheaded the re-launch of European hair care brand Elseve and generated increased revenues, growing market share sustaining leadership of the top 15 European countries. From 2003 to 2005, she held the title of International Marketing Director of Hair Color. During this time, she led the successful debut of a new global hair color, Europe’s Casting Crème, which became the brand’s largest new launch in over 20 years. While in Paris, she also taught at Sciences Politiques.
From 2006 to 2008, she moved into a new role at L’Oréal, Canada as Brand Director for Maybelline New York. During these two years, she grew market share to the #2 (from #4) cosmetics brand in Canada by directing and implementing strategic brand marketing plans. In 2008, Ms. Kristo was named General Manager for L’Oréal’s, Canada division to oversee brands Maybelline New York and Garnier.
Prior to joining L’Oréal, Ms. Kristo worked at Procter & Gamble as Assistant Brand Manager. In addition to re-launching hair care brand Pert Plus, she also was heavily involved the company’s training and leadership programs.
Ms. Kristo graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce in Strategic Management and Finance from McGill University in Montreal, Canada in 1998.
