As part of the 17th World Congress of Food Science and Technology, the Scientific Director and Founding Chair of the MCCHE, Dr. Laurette Dube, chaired the Convergent Innovation for Affordable Food, Health and Healthcare theme consisting of six sessions panelled by high-profile industry and academic leaders worldwide.

Convergent innovation has been advanced as a solution-oriented paradigm to address complex human problems at the nexus of agriculture, food and health by defining new paths of convergence between economic growth and human development.
