Overview of Honours Investment Management (HIM)
The Honours in Investment Management program at McGill is where the future of global investment management education begins. The Honours degree in Investment Management is a selective undergraduate program that will prepare you for a career in financial asset management. Designed in consultation with a world-leading team of investment managers, the program looks ahead to the future of the investment management industry.

Overview of Joint Honours Economics & Finance
With an Honours degree in Economics and Finance at McGill University, you will gain a broad understanding of how economics and finance work together to power our economy. The two fields are closely entwined, with both focusing on the allocation of resources within the economy.
While the economics component will provide you with a strong theoretical framework for understanding how these resources are allocated, the finance courses will provide a more applied view with a greater focus on the real-world and experiential learning opportunities to give you a competitive edge.
You’ll study topics like economic statistics, macroeconomic theory, corporate finance and investment management. As the program brings together management and arts students, you’ll develop strong networks to help you build your professional portfolio.
As of Fall 2023, the BCom Joint Honours option will be retired. Students who have started the Joint Honours program prior to Fall 2023, can continue with the old curriculum.
