Recruit Desautels talent

We are excited to announce offerings for a hybrid campus recruitment model at McGill University for Fall 2023 & Winter 2024. With a blend of both virtual and in-person activities, you are invited to check out the different options to meet our diverse McGill business talent.

Campus Recruitment

Campus Recruitment provides organizations with many ways to recruit Bachelor of Commerce (BCom), Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master of Management in Analytics (MMA), Master of Management in Finance (MMF), and our newest specialized graduate program, Master of Management in Retailing (MMR) students at the Desautels Faculty of Management. Connect with our team at recruitdesautels.mgmt [at] mcgill.ca (subject: McGill%20Campus%20Recruitment%20-%20employer%20inquiry%20(fr%20website))  to find out more about our offerings and how to find talent suitable to your needs.

Post job opportunities

All Management students have exclusive access to the Career Management online job portal, myFuture.  It is a quick and efficient way for your organization to reach students for your full-time, part-time, summer or internship opportunities.

Advertise your opportunities on our student career portal by logging in here, or registering for a new account.

Promotion of your corporate information sessions

Give students an opportunity to know your company in greater depth! By holding an Information Session, it is your chance to showcase your company and let students know about your corporate culture, job opportunities and typical career paths. It’s also the right time to network with students and answer their questions about your organization. Your session can be an informal networking session or a more structured presentation.

Let us know if you organize and host your own Corporate Information Session(s)— either in-person or virtual— that target our BCom, MMA, MMF, MMR, MBA candidates! Our team is happy to promote verified sessions via our channels of communication to students. Forward your invitation and session details to: recruitdesautels.mgmt [at] mcgill.ca (subject: CORPORATE%20INFO%20SESSION%20-%20Date%2FTime%2FLocation, body: Please%20include%20as%20much%20session%20details%20as%20possible%20so%20we%20can%20share%20with%20the%20appropriate%20group%2C%20such%20as%20the%20following%3A%0A%0ACOMPANY%20NAME%3A%0ADate%3A%0ATime%3A%0ALocation%3A%0AStudent%20Audience%3A)

Interviews

For  interviews, please contact students directly to coordinate interview times and keep us apprised of shortlisted candidates.

Showcase your brand at the Jaclyn Fisher Career Day

We host an annual Jaclyn Fisher Career Event in downtown Montreal. This annual event (usually held mid-September) is the perfect opportunity for employers to create visibility on-campus, promote job opportunities and meet potential employees.

Get candid about your opportunities at Real Talk Career Nights

Employers who are looking to recruit for upper year business talent and have active hiring needs in specific roles are invited to meet candidates on-campus at McGill in the Fall. More information here.

Get involved with our flagship Meet McGill event (virtual)

This marquee event is for employers and alumni who wish to meet talent from our undergraduate (BCom) and graduate (MBA, MMA, MMF, MMR) programs; whether it be for internships, full-time roles, pre-recruitment/branding, we welcome your virtual presence. For the Fall 2023 event, stay tuned for more information to come!

Read the recap of our Fall 2020 Canada Meet McGill program here— over three days, 220 students met with close to 70 organizations!

Host a coffee chat

Set up coffee chats to chat with our students informally, virtually or in-person. These discussions can take place one-on-one, or in an intimate group roundtable setting. DesautelsConnect is our exclusive platform for hosting web-based coffee chats over a topic of discussion.

Participate in mock interviews and resume clinincs

Employers can help students improve their interviewing skills by giving mock interviews and constructive feedback.

Guest speak and workshop opportunities

Speaking on topics such as industry trends, current issues, and management-in-practice is a great way to engage students and share your experience with Management students. Guest speaker and workshop opportunities allow you to increase awareness of your organization as well as meet and get to know the talent at the Desautels Faculty of Management.

Suggested topics for workshops and presentations include:

  • In-depth presentations of your industry
  • Market and Industry Trends
  • Networking Techniques
  • Interviewing Techniques
  • Company Recruiting Practices (candidate profiles, etc.)
