McCall MacBain International Fellowships for undergraduate students to study abroad for a year
McCall MacBain Foundation partnered with McGill University to award 10 McCall MacBain International Fellowships for the academic year 2019-20.
Valued at up to CAD $23,500 each, these fellowships enable undergraduate students to spend a year abroad studying a foreign language, doing an academic exchange, and pursuing an internship.

Terry Jackson recognized for exceptional volunteerism
Desautels alumnus and former International Faculty Advisory Board member Terry Jackson (BCom’69) received the Sovereign’s Medal for Volunteers on September 24. Presented by the Governor General of Canada, the award honors the exceptional volunteer achievements of Canadians in a wide range of fields.
“I’m just honoured and delighted to receive this. Being recognized for the work that you do is very nice,” said Jackson.

TeamMTL: A winning standout at Solar Decathlon China competition
TeamMTL, a collaboration between students and faculty from McGill University and Concordia University, competed against 22 international teams to construct the best solar-powered house.
Setting a winning record, the team won first prize in three categories, including Market Appeal, to which Roman Celac (BCom ’18) and Jiawei Lin (MBA ’18) were instrumental.
