Canada’s airlines accept new government restrictions in hopes of greater financial support

Even as losses mount during the COVID-19 pandemic, airlines across Canada have suspended flights to Mexico and the Caribbean in response to new directives issued by the federal government. According to Professor Karl Moore, this decision indicates that the airlines are negotiating directly with the government with the goal of winning a financial support package.
