Appointment of Cristiane Tinmouth as Interim Assistant Vice-Principal, Financial Services

Published: 26 May 2014

Cristiane Tinmouth (DPA'87) has agreed to serve as Interim Assistant Vice-Principal, Financial Services – effective June 2, 2014, following the departure of Albert Caponi.

Cristiane has served McGill University with distinction as Controller for the past six years, and I am confident she will maintain the same high level of service and performance we have come to expect from the Financial Services unit. Cristiane, a Chartered Professional Accountant, is a graduate of McGill University’s program in public accountancy, who also earned an Honours BA in Economics at Queen’s. Cristiane has previously worked as Chief Financial Officer at Vivier Pharma and as a Senior Manager at KPMG.

Please join me in congratulating and thanking Cristiane for her willingness to serve in this important role. We wish her much success in her new role at McGill University.

I would also take this opportunity to wish Albert the same in his new role as Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer at Aéroports de Montréal. While this is wonderful opportunity for him, it is a big loss for McGill.

Albert has made significant contributions to Financial Services and McGill during his tenure here and has always put the well-being of the institution above all other considerations. He has provided me, previous Vice-Principals, Principals, and Provosts with invaluable strategic and tactical advice.
